Ava's Pizzeria & Wine Bar in St. Michaels, MD is currently seeking an Assistant FOH Manager to lead our dynamic and talented team

The FOH Manager will collaborate with the management team to lead staff to achieve success in the areas of sales, guest satisfaction and employee motivation on a day-to-day and long-term basis. He/She will coordinate and implement the planning, organization, training and support necessary to meet company and restaurant-specific objectives in sales and costs, food quality, atmosphere and cleanliness, guest service and employee retention.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead as a brand ambassador, making decisions in the best interest of the restaurant every time
  • Anchor front of house operations and have a strong presence on the floor
  • Drive sales
  • Understand and execute AHG policies, standards, SOPs, and training programs
  • Follow the opening/closing manager procedures on each shift, as well as ensuring team members are completing applicable checklists
  • Assure that every guest feels welcome and is given prompt, friendly, and courteous service
  • Collaborate and maintain open communication with the kitchen team on areas of food consistency and quality
  • Promote an ongoing positive operating and learning environment throughout the restaurant
  • Communicate with the General Manager (and HR if necessary) in regards to corrective action necessary for any team member in violation of a company policy
  • Attend scheduled manager, concept, and/or company meetings
  • Adhere to all AHG cash handling and reconciliation procedures
  • Fully understand and comply with federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests
