How you will make an impact as a Procurement Specialist:

  • As an innovative Procurement Specialist, you will execute timely purchasing and placement of medical, office, IT, and facility supply orders for all ADVENT locations
  • Implement and manage cloud-based inventory management software
  • Set standard inventory levels and maintain standard items to be used/purchased along with current vendor/supplier
  • Frequently seek procurement cost savings and recommend necessary alterations to ensure sustainability
  • Identify, analyze, and address gaps in inventory and processes
  • Obtain quotes, manage purchase orders, and schedule contract renewals
  • Verify receipts against invoices for payment, code all invoices for payments, and verify all payment methods

What We're Looking For in a Procurement Specialist:

  • At least one year of purchasing or supply strategy experience
  • Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives
  • Ability to establish and maintain quality control standards
  • Strong data entry and technology skills
  • Excellent project management and process improvement skills
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with outside vendors and team members at ADVENT
  • Healthcare experience preferred
