The Electrical Technician will utilize their electrical technical knowledge in a hands-on role within our furnace manufacturing environment.

Reports to: Production Manager

Essential Functions:

  • Use instructions, drawings, schematics, and specifications to wire furnaces, control cabinets and associated components
  • Perform electrical and electronic tests on finished product to ensure proper operation
  • Inspect and verify all work performed; Fulfills all sign-off sheets and Electronic/Electrical Quality Check Sheets
Requirements:

Competencies and Attributes Needed:

  • Solid work experience in electrical panel layout and wiring
  • Significant working knowledge of industrial electrical principles and theories
  • Have keen knowledge of electrical circuitries
  • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and production drawings
  • Able to operate and interpret industrial electronic /electrical test equipment
  • Ability to perform circuit troubleshooting
  • Must have a good understanding of electronic components i.e., Relays, fuses, and Circuit Breakers
  • Have strong attention to detail; have good problem solving and communication skills; commit to following instructions with minimal supervision
  • Must have good general mechanical skills such as drilling and tapping mounting holes; Able to use hand tools (drills, screw drivers, cutting tools, calipers, micrometers, etc.), conduct electrical testing using voltage meters, use table saws, drill press
  • Use forklift, crane, and other moving devices

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit, stand, and have the physical ability to climb on, in or under any equipment
  • Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally
