The Marketing Specialist will be integral to developing and executing marketing plans and programs that enhance and promote the Talbert brand. You should be well-versed in specialized marketing concepts, principles, and tactics. The role involves creating visually appealing and engaging content for various marketing channels, ensuring brand consistency while showcasing our mission, core values, team, products, services, and solutions.

Requirements:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with team members, customers, vendors, and external agencies to understand target audiences and effectively communicate key messages.
  • Uphold Talbert brand guidelines and standards across all marketing materials.
  • Develop engaging design and content for digital and print materials, including the company website, social media, landing pages, email campaigns, advertisements, signage, and more.
  • Maintain and update our company website, including copywriting, editing, image and video posting, SEO, and analytics. Collaborate with outside agencies as required.
  • Coordinate and enhance the company’s social media presence across all platforms, including scheduling and posting approved content.
  • Develop and maintain each Talbert location’s digital business profile and monitor/respond to customer reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote the Talbert Customer Portal and Web Store to highlight its capabilities.
  • Create HubSpot landing pages for events, programs, and customer outreach.
  • Source content and develop and publish blog posts and a company newsletter in collaboration with internal and external parties.
  • Assist in creating and preparing client presentations, product line cards, training guides, advertising, promotional materials, and other sales and marketing tools.
  • Maintain up-to-date professional photography and videos for use on the website, social media, and other marketing channels.
  • Write copy for web pages, e-blasts, newsletters, and other marketing materials that capture our voice while maintaining professionalism.
  • Travel to Talbert branches, customer/industry events, and job sites to engage with stakeholders and capture marketing content.
  • Support the planning of customer events and community outreach initiatives.
  • Work closely with HR and key staff to create a positive, respectful, and rewarding company culture.
  • Stay updated on trends in the lumber and building material industry and those affecting the regional construction supply market.

  • Solid understanding of marketing principles and the ability to integrate design with marketing strategies.
  • Experience using a website CMS and HubSpot (or similar platform) is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Maintain current knowledge of digital marketing concepts, tools, and techniques.
  • Utilize AI to develop and optimize marketing practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
