JOB DESCRIPTION

Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
Skill Level(s): Subject Matter Expert

•   work with customers to translate operational needs into technical requirements.
•   track program progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.
•   serve as a geospatial technology and mobile SME.
•   support technical meetings with vendors to communicate program and mission requirements and provide technical advice and direction based on practical knowledge of mobile phone hardware, mobile operating systems (Android/iOS), software (commercial, FOSS, and GOTS), and security mechanisms
•   interact with the Organization’s Enterprise teams to integrate Organization’s geospatial mission data within a common, enterprise web application, to include system administration, database administration, file, and access management functions using Amazon EC2, S3, and related services.
•   develop mobile applications and be proficient with both Android and iOS app development.

The Candidate shall possess and provide the following required skills and demonstrated experience:

•  strong knowledge of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) applications and services.
•  ability to develop Android/iOS mobile applications using React including proficiency with Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, Xcode, Nodejs, and Javascript.
•  developing Windows and Linux application releases using the Electron framework.
•  working with small teams to manage software development activities.
•  working with customers to define functional requirements, concept of operations, and UI/UX design.
•  managing iterative software development releases.
•  tracking development sprints using JIRA.
•  managing source code in Github and Gitlab.
•  developing test plans.
•  providing technical support and training to a broad client base.
•  understanding emerging technical trends.
•  software engineering and development
•  supporting technical operations.
 

Highly Desired Skills
Other skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not mandatory to perform the work, include:

•  strong communication skills (written and verbal).
•  documenting process and procedures.
•  tool idea conceptualization and requirements design.
•  working with Windows, UNIX, and Linux platforms.

Education:
Advanced degree in Software Engineering or similar.
