SUMMARY: Reads blueprint drawings & installs fire sprinkler systems per specifications. Installation includes, but not limited to, pipe, valves, fittings, risers & sprinkler heads; Monitors and maintains safe operating condition of all fire sprinkler systems and related equipment.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reads and understands blueprint drawings & specifications.
  • Installs residential fire sprinkler systems, including but not limited to, measuring, drilling, gluing, pipe, valves, fittings, risers & sprinkler heads.
  • Ensures compliance to applicable NFPA Code and company standards when installing systems; coordinates with the project manager and our internal engineering staff when needed.
  • Maintains all standard operating procedures and quality control measures of the company.
  • Documents all work performed in our electronic project management software.
  • Communicates any and all issues that occur on the jobsite that may impact schedule, installation, and scope of work changes to supervisor immediately.
  • Complies with all applicable safety policies and codes.
  • Maintains tools, equipment, shop, and work areas in the best possible condition for maximum production and safety.
  • Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current driver’s license and driving record that meets company standards.
  • Knowledge of NFPA Code and fire sprinkler principles (preferred).
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret schematics and blueprints.
