Job Summary: Cole Engineering Services, Inc. is searching for a Configuration Analyst to support the fundamentals of Configuration Management (CM) and assist with and support the integrity of our products throughout its lifecycle.

The candidate will report to the Configuration Management manager and take part in various aspects of the configuration management process and the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, gain direct experience, and contribute to our configuration management activities.

Position responsibilities primarily include the tasks below:

  • Support fast-paced program with heavy load of documentation peer reviews, deliveries and tracking
  • Support inspection, review, packaging and delivery of program software product releases
  • Supporting change tracking of program baseline products and change control board (CCB) processes
  • Performing configuration audits such as media library, document, functional configuration, and others as required
  • Reporting status of documentation and deliverables to team, management and customer
  • Support Production CM and Mechanical Engineering teams with physical configuration audits (PCA) as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate must possess the following experience, competencies, and qualities:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent technical certifications (e.g. ITIL, CMII, CM, II, IAT, NDIA, CMPIC)
  • 3 years of experience performing configuration item identification, baseline definition, source code control, Action items and CM library use, and change request management
  • 3 years of experience with Asset and Configuration Management processes and procedures
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of tools, Adobe Acrobat, Confluence, Atlassian JIRA and Microsoft SharePoint
  • Sound judgment capability and discretion with confidential information
  • Problem solving capabilities
  • Self-starter who can organize assignments, prioritize tasks, and complete projects on time
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

Desired experience, competencies, and qualities:

  • Working knowledge of EIA-649 or MIL-HDBK-61A
  • Candidate must have solid written and verbal skills to effectively interact with government counterparts, other defense contractor organizations and other cross-functional organizations
  • Must demonstrate ability to remain calm and retain control when under pressure
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to work in a systematic, highly organized manner
  • Position requires initiative in regularly re-prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively team with multiple organizational disciplines.
  • Experience working within a CMMI / Agile / Department of Defense environment
  • Experience in asset management and data tracking methods
  • Experience with Perforce or other software build systems

Other Requirements: Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
