Position Summary

As a Hotel Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the hotel’s facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and staff. You will handle a variety of tasks including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and responding to guest service calls.

The Company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on hotel systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in guest rooms and common areas.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of all hotel facilities.
  • Maintain the hotel's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
  • Monitor and operate the Building Management System (BMS) to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist with the management and supervision of any outside contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies.
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and climbing ladders
