What does a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician do?

As a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician at Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium, your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting routine maintenance tasks, performing equipment inspections, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the overall functionality and safety of the facilities. You will be expected to work diligently during the night hours from 8:30 pm to 7:30 am, relying on your problem-solving skills to address any maintenance challenges that may arise. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will be essential in upholding our high-performance standards in a fast-paced environment.

Are you the 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician we're looking for?

To excel as a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician at Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium in Springfield, MO, you must possess a strong understanding of motor controls, pumps, physical plants, automated controls, and pneumatics. The role demands the ability to interpret and work with blueprints, schematic drawings, and diagrams effectively. Proficiency in using various software and tools, along with good computer and communication skills, is essential for carrying out maintenance tasks and operating related equipment efficiently. Your aptitude for problem-solving and attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining the museum and aquarium's facilities at the highest standards of excellence.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Requires good understanding of motor controls, pumps, physical plants, automated controls and pneumatics. Requires ability to read blueprints, schematic drawings and diagrams. Requires good computer and communication skills, and the ability to understand and operate related office and building equipment.
  • Requires a relatively high degree of concentration and attention to read and interpret designs, specifications, and schematic drawings. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with little supervision.
