Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Developer to join our data management team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and overseeing our company's Snowflake data warehouse environment.
This role involves designing and implementing complex data projects with a focus on collecting, parsing, managing, analyzing, and visualizing large sets of data to turn information into insights using Snowflake's technology.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement highly performant data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources into the Snowflake ecosystem.
Develop and maintain robust data models within Snowflake to support data analysis and business reporting needs.
Optimize Snowflake's performance through tuning and best practices to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness of data storage and retrieval.
Write advanced SQL queries and optimize them for operational efficiency and performance.
Implement and maintain security standards within Snowflake, including managing roles, privileges, and access controls to ensure data security and governance.
Work closely with data scientists, business analysts, and other IT teams to support data analysis and business intelligence efforts.
Apply best practices for data warehousing techniques and architecture to ensure the integrity, availability, and privacy of data.
Diagnose and resolve any data and performance issues to ensure the reliability of the data platform.
Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure that the data warehouse systems meet business requirements and specifications.
Create and maintain documentation pertaining to Snowflake architecture, design decisions, configurations, and processes.

Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in data warehousing with a strong focus on Snowflake development and administration.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with Snowflake's unique features like Snowpipe, Tasks, Streams, Time Travel, and stored procedures.
Experience with cloud services platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and understanding how Snowflake integrates within these environments.
Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or similar for automation purposes.
Experience with data integration tools like Talend, Informatica, or Matillion.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across different teams.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
