Job DescriptionJob Description

Underground Fiber Drop Crew Leader shall possess the desire to bury fiber optic drops. At a minimum, the applicant shall be familiar with telecommunications lines and mini skid plows

Responsibilities:

  • Burying Fiber drops from handhole to home.
  • Use of tools, equipment, to complete a project.
  • Additional Duties as assigned.
  • Completion of daily cup sheets to document work performed.
  • Clean and maintain all supplies and equipment
  • Pothole for existing utilities when necessary

Qualifications:

  • Have the ability to work well with others.
  • Proficient in the use of Lineman tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read construction prints
  • Proficient in the use of telecom construction equipment. (Aerial Lifts, Dozers, Lashers, Meters, Plows, boring machines etc.)
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.
  • the ability to work safely, with or without supervision;
  • the ability to work standing, at shoulder height and overhead, for extended periods;
  • excellent manual dexterity;
  • the ability to follow instructions and communicate verbally and in writing;
  • the ability to fully understand and operate equipment, including, but not limited to an mini skid plow, boring machine, and hand tools
  • Two Years of related work experience
