Companion Linc is a 245D Waivered Services Provider that supports approximately 130 individuals throughout the Metro Area with a variety of intellectual and/or physical needs, including Autism, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy.

- Person Centered Services - Spend your time at work supporting people in the way that best meets their needs while enjoying many of the fun activities the community has to offer. Our employees are often spending time on their shifts exploring museums, doing arts and crafts, going on walks/nature hikes, seeing movies at the theater, bowling, or going to Valleyfair or a variety of other action-packed places. These activities are either prepaid by Companion Linc or staff are reimbursed for admission.
- Competitive Pay & Great Benefits -Sleepover positions paid at minimum wage ($12.00). *Any time spent awake during the overnight (12am-8am) during the shift is paid at $19.00/hour. Employees eligible for a raise at 12 months, based upon satisfactory performance. Employees are paid to complete and maintain all required training for their position. All employees are eligible for Earned Safe and Sick Time, and to participate in the company 401K which offers a 4% employer match. Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision and life insurance, as well as Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays.
Positions, Hours & Wage:
- ASLEEP OVERNIGHT: Tuesday 9:00pm - Wednesday 8:00am
- WEEKEND DAY/OVERNIGHT: Saturday 9:00am - Sunday 3:30pm
- EVENINGS: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday 3:30pm - 9:00pm
- DSP Rate $19.00/hour (9pm-12am); Sleepover Rate $12.00/hour(12am-8am)
Department Description:
This position will support one individual in her personal home who has physical support needs. *Individual has a dog* **Preference for FEMALE staff**.
Job Duties:
- Provide supervision and training for light housekeeping and personal care needs.
- Assist individual to achieve and exceed their personal goals.
- Provide guidance in administering medications.
- Assist individual with personal hygiene.
- Provide individual with physical, emotional, and behavioral support allowing them to actively participate in activities offered while encouraging personal choices and assisting to maintain their personal safety.
- Provide transportation to activities using the individual's vehicle.
- Complete detailed, accurate documentation as assigned.
- Other duties specific to individual supported.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry at least 20 lbs
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to provide vehicle insurance
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
- Minnesota DHS background study clearance
- Prefer work experience in the human services field
- Willingness to participate with the individual supported a in variety of scheduled community activities
- Individual prefers FEMALE staff
