Boring Mill Machinist
Pay: $25/hr - $35/hr
Shift: 1st Shift (4:00am – 4:00pm M-F & 6:00am – 12:00pm Saturday if needed)
Location: Waterford, MI
Job Description-
- Set up and operate boring mill machinery to perform precision machining operations on steel components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job, ensuring optimal efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor machine performance during operations, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and meet production targets.
- Inspect finished components for conformance to quality standards, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery, tooling, or materials to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, including routine maintenance tasks on machinery as required.
Qualifications-
- Must have your own precision tools to perform set ups such as Dial calipers, Micrometers, Dial Indicators etc. Larger precision tools will be provided by the company.
- Must be able to read blue print and sketches.
- Overhead crane experience strongly preferred
