Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Venture Capital Analyst to join our dynamic investment team. The Associate will support our investment process by conducting thorough market research, financial analysis, and due diligence on potential investment opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a keen interest in venture capital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes. Analyze potential investment opportunities and provide actionable insights.
  • Financial Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate investment prospects. Perform valuation analyses, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.
  • Due Diligence: Assist in the due diligence process by gathering and analyzing data on target companies. Prepare reports and presentations to support investment recommendations.
  • Deal Sourcing: Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities through networking, industry events, and relationships with entrepreneurs and other venture capitalists.
  • Portfolio Support: Provide analytical and strategic support to portfolio companies as needed. Monitor performance and assist in the development of growth strategies.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare investment memos, presentations, and other documentation for internal review and external communication. Ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MSF) is a plus.
  • Relevant experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or management consulting.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, including Excel and financial databases.
  • Excellent research skills and ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings effectively.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in venture capital and entrepreneurship.
