Casting Backup Lead

MINIMUM 6 MONTHS OF RECENT MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE
Connect Staffing is seeking an experienced Lead for a vinyl company in Placentia, CA.
Schedule:Monday- Friday 2 PM-10:30 PMMust be flexible and be available weekends.
Requirements of a Backup Lead:
- Minimum five (5) years in the Manufacturing industry.
- 6 months of recent manufacturing experience
- Minimum one (1) years of lead experience. Preferred but not required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Pass a drug screen and background check
- Ability to safely lift 50lbs+
- Must have steel-toe boots
- Able to tolerate strong smells created by the industrial process
- Prior experience in roles such as Shift Lead, Warehouse Lead, Logistics Coordinator, and Operations Manager is a plus

Responsibilities for the Backup Lead:
- Ability to read shop orders, material part numbers, and weekly product schedules.
- Unload rolls from the machine and move to the appropriate staging area.
- Clean and set up wet-end equipment (coating head, pump, and filters) as needed and monitor and make process/equipment as needed. Identify coating defects and take corrective action to eliminate the defect.
- Follow safety rules and keep the work area in clean and orderly condition.
- Perform checks for material defects, make equipment adjustments as necessary to maintain part quality standards, and flag and notify the Quality Assurance department of questionable material.
- Monitor the casting line operation for proper coating and film properties
- Be mindful of sensitivity to odors in the surrounding environment
