Join the mission as a Systems Engineer on our internal IT team. We're looking for a technically proficient individual to build, manage and maintain the internal infrastructure used to support our penetration testing teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for all penetration testing service line IT requests.
  • Administer and support penetration testing services specific infrastructure to ensure timeliness of updates, efficient management of resources, and proper data life cycling.
  • Identify, implement, and help maintain automation and/or scripting solutions to common, repetitive tasks that support delivery of penetration testing services.
  • Provide support to staff across penetration testing service lines, resolving technical issues promptly and effectively.
  • Create, manage and configure VMware guest systems, including provisioning virtual machines (VMs), configuring resource allocations, and ensuring proper network connectivity and storage access.
  • Collaborate with peers to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, escalating when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Document and update standard operating procedures, knowledge base articles, and technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and training.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, continually enhancing skills and knowledge to support the evolving needs of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in systems administration or technical support roles.
  • Experience in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) for basic automation
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with end users and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with the penetration testing process and related tools a plus.
  • Experience with VMware vSphere for creating and managing VMs.
  • Familiarity with AWS IAM permissions and security best practices.
  • Experience documenting technical procedures and knowledge base articles.
  • Certifications relevant to the role (e.g., CompTIA A+, Security+).
  • Previous experience with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices and IT service management frameworks.
