Job Description

This major academic medical center provides a wide range of medical services, including trauma care, neonatal intensive care, burn care, and a comprehensive suite of specialty care services.The health system is known for its Level I Trauma Center, which is the only one of its kind in the region, providing expert care for the most critically injured patients. They also offer a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services, including cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, oncology, and more.

As the ASCP Blood Bank Supervisor, you will manage and coordinate laboratory activities across all ambulatory practice sites. You will ensure that test procedures, services, and clinical information comply with organizational, federal, state, and regulatory standards. Your role will involve collaborating with staff to integrate laboratory activities into patient care, performing general and laboratory-specific administrative duties, managing workflow and quality, overseeing laboratory budgets and projects, and participating in meetings to improve work efficiencies and quality.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent experience.
  • MT or MLS (ASCP) certification
  • State of Tennessee General Supervisor License required
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Medical Technologist
