Responsibilities of the Senior Systems Engineer:
EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking candidates for a full-time Senior Systems Engineer who will provide systems administration duties and tasks. The role is 90% remote and will require travel to DC one day a week.

The Senior Systems Engineer will :
  • Manage permissions and controls using Active Directory.
  • Support Forensic Computer Lab, a stand-alone small data center that is used for agents to do their investigations.
  • Utilize Hyper-V cluster hosting 15 servers consisting of Windows, Linux, and Unix.
  • Create, deploy, and administer solutions for business growth and development, especially in fields of high availability and security.
  • Manage servers, data, and networking components across Linux and Windows platforms and infrastructures.
  • Analyze network data and infrastructure to determine inefficiencies and problems.
  • Develop and design network architecture and computer systems infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to create, deploy, and administrate solutions for business growth and development.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field
  • 5+ years experience as a System engineer
  • Excellent scripting skills and knowledge of programming languages.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • CSEP, MCSE, CETma, CCNA, CISSP, or Network+ Certification is desired
  • Active DOD or DHS Security Clearance
