Overview:
The Inpatient Med/Surg Patient Care Partner assists with providing patient care in a designated area under the supervision of a nurse. Assures that the Mercy Mission, Mercy Values, Service Standards, confidentiality, policies and procedures of the department and Health Center are followed. This responsibility includes the appropriate utilization of the Health Center's resources to optimize patient care.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.Licensure:Experience: Prefer 1 year of previous CNA experience will accept new graduates.Certifications: CPR Certification through the American Heart Association for Health Care Providers. CPR must be current within 90 days of hire.Other: Ability to read, write and speak English.Preferred Education:Preferred Licensure:Preferred Experience: Current Certified Nursing Assistant Certification or currently attending school of nursing.Preferred Certifications:Preferred Other:Physical Requirements:
• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
