The Systems Engineer is responsible for the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of the Firm's IT systems infrastructure, focusing on maximizing productivity and minimizing client disruptions. As part of the Tier 3 Operations team, the role emphasizes superior client service and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include supporting the IT systems infrastructure, including virtual and physical servers, Active Directory, and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops. The Systems Engineer collaborates with the Principal Enterprise Architect and IT Operations Director to oversee IT service delivery, develop operational strategies, and implement backup and disaster recovery plans. The role also involves collecting system metrics for improvement plans, enhancing IT processes, resolving software and hardware issues, researching new technologies, and providing 24x7 on-call support.
Qualifications include 6+ years of relevant IT experience, preferably in a professional services environment, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Preferred certifications include Microsoft, Citrix, and NetScaler. The ideal candidate should have experience with Active Directory, Windows and Linux OS, Microsoft Configuration Manager, Citrix, NetScaler, VMWare, PowerShell, Nutanix, Cohesity, HPE and APC hardware, Microsoft 365, Azure, MSSQL, and Ansible. Experience with virtualization, automation, network management, and monitoring systems is also required. Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent communication skills are essential.
