Job Summary and Qualifications

At HCA West Florida, we are committed to creating a world-class experience for each patient. We are seeking an Ultrasound Technologist. As the Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for producing quality, diagnostic radiographs, and ready for Radiologist interpretation. If you share our passion and vision, we invite you to apply now

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

  •  You will select appropriate procedure on EOP request; enter charge code into system correctly.
  • You will be responsible for completed file to be turned into the Radiologist- main jacket with exam and time, correct inserts, interim and comparison films. Information is consistent for each item.
  • You will be responsible for distribution of all dictated reports and charting, stapling, mailing, filing of return films and purging of file rooms during slow time on shift.
  • You will ensure equipment table is kept clean, wiped down after every patient contact (including W/C, stretchers).
  • You will ensure equipment maintenance needs are reported immediately to supervisor to ensure minimal down time and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an AMA approved school of Medical Sonography
  • ARDMS eligible
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to US
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, sterile technique and patient positioning techniques specific to US
  • Knowledge of safety practices relative to radiation exposure, hazardous materials and infection control policies
