Avera St. Mary's Named Top 20 Rural Community Hospital
$15,000 sign-on bonus
Position Highlights:
\t- Student Loan Repayment: This position is eligible for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.
\t - May be eligible for a $15,000 sign on bonus with a three-year commitment
\t - May be eligible for relocation bonus
\t - 4 overnight shifts per week
Job Summary
\t- Verifies physicians orders, performs patient assessments and establishes treatment schedule and goals.
\t - Makes recommendations to patient’s physician regarding their therapy.
\t - Assists with discharge planning and education of patients, families and other professionals.
\t - Documents appropriate data (patient assessments, therapy performed, patient responses, educational and discharge instructions.)
\t - Utilizes necessary documentation tool, i.e., log sheets, treatment cards, and computer logs to verify and record required information.
\t - Maintains effective communication with patients, families and other professionals to promote team effort.
Education and/or Experience
Registered Respiratory Therapist credential issues by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of SD.
Certification
\t- Current BLS, PALS, NRP and ACLS certifications.
Hours
\t- 9:00pm to 6:00am, 4 nights a week, occasional weekend, holiday, call time; 72 hours every 2 weeks.
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
\t- $26.25 - $39.50 per hour
