Avera St. Mary's Hospital is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a leading health care provider, we offer a dynamic and supportive work environment that fosters growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify physicians' orders and perform patient assessments to establish treatment schedules and goals.
  • Make recommendations to patients' physicians regarding their therapy.
  • Assist with discharge planning and education of patients, families, and other professionals.
  • Document patient data, including assessments, therapy performed, patient responses, and educational and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and other professionals to promote a team effort.
Requirements:
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of SD.
  • Current BLS, PALS, NRP, and ACLS certifications.
Work Schedule:
  • 9:00pm to 6:00am, 4 nights a week, occasional weekend, holiday, and call time; 72 hours every 2 weeks.
Compensation:
  • The hourly range for this position is $39.50 per hour, dependent on experience.
