Job Description

Interim HealthCare of Bellevue is seeking a School Psychologist to join our team in Shoreline.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer, score, and interpret individual tests, including tests of intelligence, achievement, social/emotional skills, functional behavior assessment, and adaptive skills. • Determine through multi-factored assessment procedures students’ eligibility for district special programs • Develop written reports summarizing test results and service recommendations. 
  • Consult with district staff in planning and implementing social, behavioral, and academic educational interventions. • Participate as a member of the assessment team and as a member of the student study team. • Consult with teachers regarding instructional and behavioral interventions that may be necessary to support students in regular classroom settings. 
  • Interpret psychological tests and reports received from other school districts and outside providers. • Provide individual or group counseling for students. • Provide support and information to families regarding their student’s social, behavioral, and academic needs. • Coordinate with community social and health agencies, when necessary, to facilitate services for students.
  • Coordinate with related services personnel to insure appropriate service delivery. • Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Director of Student Services or building principal. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters Degree in psychology or educational psychology. 
  • Washington certificate at the Initial Level as Educational Staff Associate (ESA-School Psychology).
  • Evidence of a strong experiential or training background in test and measurement, problem solving, and social skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
