Key Responsibilities:

As a Machine Operator Assistant, you will:

  • Move Materials: Handle materials manually and feed them into machines for processing.
  • Independent Work: Learn to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Consistent Output: Ensure all parts are processed efficiently each day, maintaining consistency based on prior experience.
  • Support Operations: Assist the machine operator with setup, operation, and routine tasks as needed.

Expected Results:

  • Daily Goals: Successfully process all parts by the end of each workday.
  • Knowledge Retention: Retain and apply knowledge from previous workdays to ensure consistency and efficiency in processing.

Skills Required:

  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints to understand specifications.
  • Measurement Skills: Proficient use of a tape measure to ensure accurate material preparation.

Experience Required:

  • Hand Tool Proficiency: Comfortable using hand tools such as pliers, dental picks, and other equipment requiring good hand-eye coordination.
  • Machinery Familiarity: Experience working with machinery or in a manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required.

Qualities Required:

  • Process-Oriented: Understand and follow established processes strictly, ensuring they are not altered without approval.
  • Attention to Detail: Focus on precision and adherence to production requirements.

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual Labor: Frequent lifting, bending, walking, standing, and pushing are required.
  • Lifting Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally throughout the day, but not consistently.

Equipment Used:

  • Hand Tools: Use of various tools such as pliers and dental picks.
  • Machines: Operate a drill press, notchers (stamp, grind), and other machinery relevant to the role.
