MacNeal has an excellent opportunity for a registered nurse to join the Level II special care nursery department. The selected candidate will join a team of registered nurses, pediatric hospitalists, and residents to provide care to pregnant women within our Level II special care nursery.

MacNeal is a level 2 perinatal center designation. Our team of experts support both low-risk and high-risk newborns and their parents. The department has 24/7 in-house support from pediatric hospitalists, family practice residents, as well as 24/7 on-call coverage from Loyola neonatology. Our special care nursery is a great place to perform complex nursing skills for a unique population of infants and their families.

What Registered Nurse RN will need: 

  • A Degree from an accredited school/college of nursing is required - BSN or ADN
  • BLS Provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire
  • Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire
  • 1 to 2 years of previous Nursery experience
  • 2 years inpatient nursing experience
