As a Sr. Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the transition and management of services/applications to production environment with deep focus on Java based applications, production operations, capacity planning and performance management. Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in the role of a Software Engineer, Developer or similar including:
    • Strong software development background in Java/J2EE Technologies
    • Previous experience in a Team Lead/Formal Mentorship role over an Engineering team
    • Proficiency in CI/CD as well as version control systems (preferably Git)
    • Experience in Spring Boot, RestAPI's, React.js, and ActiveMQ or Kafka
  • Experience with any of these technologies is a plus (but not required):
    • Experience in NoSQL Databases, Cloud Native, Couchbase
    • Any messaging broker such as Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ
o Designing and building cloud native applications like PCF or GCP
  • Participating in the product team scrums
    • Adhere to Agile methodology stablished by the project leadership.
    • Maintain proper status of user stories.
    • Collaborate with scrum master in refinement sessions.
    • Utilize JIRA, Agility or similar tools
  • Gather complex business requirements and translate product and project needs into data models supporting long-term solutions
    • Act as liaison with business partners.
    • Document data requirements of product owners.
    • Build strategies for long term data utilization. Ability to quickly troubleshoot critical production issues spanning applications/infrastructure and tune high volume applications
  • Ensure alignment of programs and projects with the strategic AZ Information Roadmap and related strategies
    • Recommend and evaluate new tools and methodologies as needed
    • Working independently with limited supervision, and with other department personnel
