Mechanical Completions and Commissioning Specialist

*Airswift has been tasked by a major O&G client to seek a Mechanical Completions & Commissioning Specialist (Telecoms) to work in Ingleside, TX on a 1 year assignment.*

*Responsibilities:*
* Participate in walkdowns of Telecoms systems and subsystems to verify installation according to drawings/specifications, raising punches for non-compliant work
* Sign-off of “A” check-sheets for Telecoms systems and subsystems
* Support commissioning and start-up planning and execution activities for Telecoms systems and packages
* Capture, track, and close all punch list items by coordinating with various teams to meet project deliverables
* Ensure all Telecoms commissioning and start-up activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in an environmentally sound manner
* Align Telecoms plans and schedules and secure necessary resources (vendors, tools, materials, craft labor) to minimize schedule constraints
* Track, progress, and optimize commissioning execution schedule in conjunction with other onsite disciplines
* Coordinate with Telecoms vendors to ensure alignment of procedures, materials, tools, and resources required for commissioning activities
* Resolve any site or technical queries to progress construction and commissioning turnover
* Verify and accept “A” check-sheets on behalf of Cenovus
* Lead and support Telecoms commissioning and start-up activities on behalf of Cenovus

*Qualifications:*
* Degree or diploma/certificate or journeyman in electrical, instrumentation, or telecommunications field
* 5+ years' experience in the Oil and Gas industry (preferably Offshore) with exposure to Construction, Completions, and/or Commissioning of Telecoms systems
* 10+ years' experience with Construction, Completions, Operations, Maintenance, and/or Commissioning of Telecoms Systems
* Must be legally entitled to work in the USA

*Competencies:*
* Ability to build relationships and interact effectively with a variety of people/disciplines both internal and external to Cenovus
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and maintain effectiveness in varying environments and with different tasks, responsibilities, and people
* Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point, and MS Project
* Working knowledge of Smart Completions software; experience with Hexagon is preferable
* Ability to read and understand P&IDs, PFDs, SLDs, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
* Experience working with construction contractors during the building and commissioning of facilities
* Experience in reviewing MC and Commissioning check-sheets and Walkdown Packages, understanding system priorities and schedules
* Experience in verification and close out of punch list items and site queries to facilitate system MCs and RFSU Certificates
* Experience in scheduling and execution of Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Telecoms systems
* Familiarity with offshore health, safety, and regulatory requirements

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $85.00 - $90.00 per hour

Expected hours: 60 per week
