This position will require providing technical support during the execution of the various aspects of the project including Construction, Mechanical Completion, Commissioning, and final Handover to Operations.
The position requires verification of the Topsides Fabrication Contractor (TFC) work and ability to do walkdowns.

Responsibilities:
* Providing engineering and technical support to the WWRP Project Team for Electrical Engineering Systems on the Wellhead Platform.
* Monitor progress by main contractor and serve as point of contact to the owner's team for the area you are assigned
* Supporting the Topsides Execution Manager / Electrical Lead during construction, Mechanical Completion, and commissioning of the electrical systems on the platform.
* Observing construction / fabrication, contractor project/modifications activity and track performance against expectations.
* Reviewing and commenting on contractor documentation to ensure suitability of the electrical system and equipment design.
* Ensuring appropriate electrical specifications are used for the project.
* Providing support to the Operational Readiness Assurance team in preparation for the transition from the project phase to the operational phase.
* Review Construction schedule and interact with the topsides fabrication contractor and provide technical guidance as required in resolving site queries.
* Assist with the change management process during the execution stage of the project from engineering to final handover to operations.
* Review and sign-off "A" mechanical completions check sheets.
* Review MC Dossiers and assist in Handover from contractor to the commissioning team.

Deliverables:
Electrical Construction Coordinator will provide input to the Internal Weekly Dashboard produced by the Electrical Lead

Qualifications:
* Diploma or Certificate in Electrical/instrumentation field
* Must be legally entitled to work in USA
* Minimum 20 years' experience in Electrical Construction with significant exposure to construction of large projects in offshore oil and gas industry, preferably production and drilling facilities.
* Technical knowledge of process topsides equipment, utilities equipment, and drilling facility requirements in the offshore oil and gas industry.
* Familiarity with offshore health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
* Familiarity with overall electrical system design
* Familiarity with power generation systems including main turbine driven generators, essential generators, and emergency generators.
* Familiarity with drilling electrical systems including inverters, DC power systems and variable frequency drives.
* Familiarity with electrical standards relevant to the oil and gas industry, including NEMA, IEEE, API, CSA, etc.
* Knowledge of and practical experience in hazardous area classification and requirements, low, medium, and high voltage distribution systems, motors, UPS's, PLC's, EHT, etc.
* Experience working in a multi-discipline project environment.
* Experience providing technical guidance to construction contractors.
* Experience with electrical equipment installation and commissioning requirements.
* Experience working with construction contractors at their facility during the building and commissioning of the facilities.
* Knowledge of all project design and execution stages would be an asset.
* Participation in conceptual/feasibility/safety/risk & opportunity assessment studies would be an asset.
* Experience in reviewing MC Dossier and signing of construction check sheets. A working knowledge of Hexagon is preferable.
* Experienced in reviewing Walkdown Packages and participating in MC Walkdowns. Help in creating Punch list items and understand system turnover priorities.
* Experienced in verification and close out of the punch list items and site queries to facilitate system MCs

* Superior communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills enough to convey both factual and conceptual information requiring detailed explanation and interpretation to staff, professionals, and other business representatives.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify key issues based on relevant data and provide appropriate solutions/recommendations in a proactive manner.
* Ability to build relationships and interact effectively with a variety of people/disciplines both internal and external to the company.
* Excellent organizational and planning skills to set and exceed established goals, schedules, and deadlines, especially in the execution of inspection programs.
* Able to work collaboratively within a team environment, as well as maintain effectiveness in varying environments and with different tasks, responsibilities, and people.
* Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point, and MS Project. A working knowledge of Smart Completions software from Hexagon is preferable.
