POSITION SUMMARY:

Do you have a technical aptitude with a think outside of the box mentality? Weather Shield Windows & Doors is looking for a detail-oriented person to provide technical support for architects, customers, co-workers and sales personnel. In this position you will manage projects through production and deliveries including drafting detail-oriented shop drawings for commercial and residential projects. Review architects plans & specifications and give guidance on product selection. Assist with size limitations, custom design profiles & custom product modification requests. Provide cross-functional teamwork to strengthen other teams within the organization.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project management: From preliminary consultation through delivery
Review architect’s plans and project specifications
Draft deviation letters
Prepare project specific shop drawings for submittal/approval
Drafter for special request drawings for preliminary approval
Process non-standard custom product requests
Enter quotes and orders - includes manual pricing when necessary
Create drawings for production when required
Provide technical support for both architects/customers and internal team members

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
Strong mathematical skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Pleasant phone/communication skills.
Able to work and effectively communicate with customers, project teams (including engineers & designers), interoffice departments and with co-workers.
Able to manage multiple projects in different stages at any given time.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment to meet project deadlines.
Knowledge of operating CAD systems (AutoCAD preferred).
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Teams, etc)
Ability to understand and interpret engineering specifications and other technical information sources.

EDUCATION: Associate’s degree in Architectural Design or equivalent is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in window & door industry is a plus.
