*Devereux/TCV Community Services is Hiring for a Teacher Assistant for its Devereux Day Academy *

As a *Teacher Assistant* at Devereux/TCV, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. Hours worked will be based on the school calendar. We offer:

Devereux/TCV Community Services in Homestead, PA provides programs and services for children with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and dual diagnoses. This position is responsible for assisting teachers and staff in planning and implementing instructional programs for individual students. Ensuring the students’ welfare, safety, and location at all times, the Teacher Assistant will assist in establishing a classroom environment conductive to academic and social learning by helping to maintain order. They will guide students in socially appropriate behavior on and off campus and attempt to resolve student crises and/or contact the supervisor when assistance is needed.

*Qualifications:*

· A Bachelor's degree with one (1) year of related experience.

· Have a valid PA Driver’s License with three (3) year driving history.

· State Criminal, Child Abuse and FBI clearances, required.

· Be flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor.

· Have a strong passion for working with and helping children with special needs.

*Pay Rate: *With Bachelor’s degree - $24.65 to $28.00 per hour (increases depending on related experience).
