*Tool Engineer*

Location: Charleston, SC

Hourly rate: $60.00 - $63.00

Primary Responsibilities:

· Evaluates program and project requirements, develops complex equipment and tooling concepts, and designs solutions for the Production System.

· Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates, identifies robotics, automation, or technology recommendations, and system integration for equipment and tooling.

· Ensures compliance with safety, capability, reliability, ergonomic factors, and regulatory requirements.

· Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, and prepares plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares. Conducts training for Production and Maintenance personnel.

· Develops and implements work-arounds and maintains the hardware, software, and documentation configuration.

· Performs studies and makes a recommendation for disposition of assets.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

· Bachelors’ degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

· Project management skill-set with interpersonal soft skills.

· Communication through verbal, e-mail, and technical documentation mediums.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

· Project assignments will be dependent upon candidate's primary skill set and experience - tool design, stress analysis, or software / metrology.

· Proficiency in Model-Based Definition and Drawing-Based Definition utilizing CATIA V5 with configuration management in ENOVIA.

· Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

· Working knowledge with any one or more of the following programming languages - C#, Python, Javascript.

· Experience with stress analysis hand calculations and results validation with any one or more of the following programs - RISA, Nastran, Abaqus, Ansys, Autodesk.

· Familiarity with metrology equipment and software, such as SpatialAnalyzer.

· Experience providing product definitions and technical support to groups, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
