BECA, a Blue Alliance company, is a well-established IT services provider serving the greater Atlanta area for over 40 years. We are looking for the right person to fill the role of Tier 1 Support Engineer. The primary responsibility of this position is to diagnose, resolve and document incident tickets.
As a member of our internal support team, a Tier 1 Support Engineer is part of a robust team, spanning different technical levels, who work together to apply the right expertise to every request, escalating issues as needed and doing whatever it takes to deliver a superior service experience for our clients.
Important Attributes for a BECA Tier 1 Support Engineer:
Keen ability to troubleshoot IT issues and dedication follow an issue all the way to resolution
Excellent written and verbal communication with team members and partners
A drive to provide great customer service
A willingness and commitment to learn new things and grow new skill sets
Ability to fulfill night and weekend shifts as part of our on-call rotation
And of course, your technical skills This should include:
Understanding of hardware, software, and basic network troubleshooting
Able to successfully multitask and prioritize service issues
Ability to follow written instructions from a documentation system
Experience with remote management of client computers and servers
Knowledge for performing the following preferred:
Active Directory and Microsoft 365, User and Group maintenance tasks
Setup and management of Windows Desktop Operating System (Pro and Enterprise editions)
Understanding of built-in windows troubleshooting applications like event viewer and task manager
Experience with the Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
As a BECA Tier 1 Support Engineer, we’re counting on you to:
Take ownership and be accountable for solving service support tickets without reassigning the ticket
Successfully follow client protocols, processes and policies as outlined and presented by management via email, training materials and required team meetings
