Compensation Range:

Anticipated Base compensation rate is in the range of $27.31 - $32.42 / Hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Expectations:

Responsible for specific service line surgical instrumentation (specific service line to be assigned and may be changed at management discretion), power equipment, scopes. Creates, edits, maintains all service line recipe sheets and tracks instruments for repair/replacement. Works collaboratively with all staff assuring proper knowledge of assigned service/specialty line.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED.equivalence.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum of three years prior sterile processing experience including strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation required. Surgical technology training, preferred. Completion of Sterile Processing Course preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Current Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) issued by Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)

SKILLS:
Knowledge of industry standards from but not limited to AORN, AAMI, CDC, The Joint Commission, CMS, Title 22.
Surgical instrumentation knowledge, prior knowledge of steam and gas sterilization.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to break down moving parts, clean, lubricate and reassemble.
Effective organizational, communication and human relation skills as he/she will be coordinating several projects simultaneously and working closely with all levels of staff.
