Maintenance Mechanic - Afternoon Shift FULL-TIME

$20/hr

• Day to day maintenance and repair to equipment.
• Perform PM’s /or checks for verifications.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems on production equipment..
• Support the plant equipment, and maintaining a safe plant meeting all federal, state, and local environments.
• Mount compressor, condenser, and other components in specified locations on frames, using hand tools and acetylene welding equipment.
• Observe and test system operation, using gauges and instruments.
• Perform mechanical overhauls.
• Read blueprints to determine location, size, capacity, and type of components needed to build refrigeration system.
• Test lines, components, and connections for leaks.
• Adjust or replace worn or defective mechanisms and parts and reassemble repaired systems.
• Braze or solder parts to repair defective joints and leaks.
• Cut, bend, thread, and connect pipe to functional components and water, power, or refrigeration system.
• Dismantle malfunctioning systems and test components, using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment.
• Estimate, order, pick up, deliver, and install materials and supplies needed to maintain equipment in good working condition.
• Install wiring to connect components to an electric power source.
• Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
• Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
• Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Shift start: 2:00PM
Shift length: 8 - 10 hours
Sunday-Thursday some Fridays

Qualifications
  • Must pass drug screen
  • Must pass background check
  • Can lift 100 lbs
  • Must be at least 18+ years old
1-3 years industrial maintenance experience Read, write, and communicate in English Possess a valid Driver's License Basic mechanical skills including welding, electrical, and plumbing Experienced and knowledge on equipment to include hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, cylinders, labeling equipment, fillers, and conveyors.
