About this Position: 

Accessory Development Division (ADD) in the Automotive Development Center (ADC) develops Automotive Accessories installed at the dealer to enhance the customers’ buying experience.  As a member of the Accessory Development Division, the Advanced Development Department develops new products outside our existing business portfolio. For these innovative developments, often the requirements are unknown, so market sensing and industry research support our activity. These projects are developed through research, requirement setting, design and testing to launch exciting products that bring new value to the Honda brand.

Responsibilities include:
•    Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to explore and evaluate novel products that fall outside our current business scope. 
•    Analyze technical specifications and conceptual designs to understand the unique challenges posed by these new offerings.
•    Develop comprehensive test plans tailored to each new development.
•    Consider the specific context and constraints of these uncharted territories, where traditional requirements may not yet exist.
•    Define testing requirements, methodologies, and success criteria based on your expertise and forward-thinking mindset.
•    Support FTA creation for new products to ensure the customers expected Honda quality and performance is accounted for
•    Work closely with stylists, design engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
•    Participate in design reviews, providing valuable input on features and performance expectations.
•    Support the development team by identifying areas for improvement and suggesting innovative solutions.
•    Lead counter-measure development of test failures where necessary and ensure cross-functional collaboration and correlation.

Who we are seeking:

Required Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience 

Other job-specific skills:    

•    Ability to assess complex technical landscapes and devise effective testing strategies. 
•    Comfort working in ambiguous situations where requirements are not fully established.
•    Experience regarding Honda development flow preferred.
•    Ability to read\write Honda drawings and or data preferred.
•    Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams,
•    Proficient in various software platforms (NEWS, Catia, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and others)
•    Embrace technical challenges with enthusiasm and creativity).

Additional Position Factors:

•    Hybrid work environment with the opportunity for some remote work (>60% in the office)
•    Requires some prototype fabrication and test equipment in a shop environment
•    Requires occasional driving test vehicles on test courses
•    Occasional travel (one or two business trips per year)
