Administrative Assistant II

Christiana Care, Primary Care Practice is looking for a full-time Administrative Assistant II in Elkton, MD.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday
  • Must be flexible to work between the hours of 7:00am-4:30pm

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs administrative functions which contribute to the efficient operation of the practice.
  • Demonstrates sound knowledge base of the clerical functions specific to the practice, including but not limited to answering phones, talking with patients, scheduling appointments, form completion, manages office correspondence such as faxing / indexing, working collaboratively and supporting all members of the practice.
  • Provides billing support for all services rendered.
  • Acts as a liaison between collaborating partner departments in the system
  • Organizes meetings, conference calls and other interactive arrangements at both the practice, system, and community  level.
  • Attends and actively participates during staff meetings and mandatory in-services.
  • Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices. 
  • Performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Two years’ experience providing administrative support to an administrator or manager, preferably in a medical setting.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted but must include at least two years of appropriate experience.

**Medical terminology knowledge is required.
