Job Duties:

  • Responsible for compliance with overall nursing practice standards of the specialty area.
  • Responsible for compliance with standards/policies during assigned shift.
  • Responsible for supervising, assigning and directing activities of all licensed and unlicensed caregivers and support staff during their assigned shift.
  • Uses independent judgment to ensure optimal delivery of patient care and appropriate use of available resources.
  • Ensures that Longview Regional's values are reflected in all aspects of the department's operation.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program, Bachelor preferred
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire
  • Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required within 90 days of hire.
  • Cardiac and Tele experience preferred.
