ManTech is seeking a System Administrator to join our Air Force / Space team at Nellis AFB . The System Administrator's primary function is to support the United States Air Force's 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Determining hardware, software, and systems specifications, and configuration requirements.

  • Execution of the patching, fixing, and making all assigned systems compliant.

  • Planning, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Hyper V, Microsoft Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 R2, Server 2016, client products across multiple networks, and network storage.

  • Provide support to users in the areas of account management, enterprise applications, desktop applications, and peripherals.

  • May work closely with the ISSO for data transfers and media creation.

  • Facilitate and coordinate user account creation and modification.

  • Perform other hardware and software tasks as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 years of related experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university. 2 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.

  • DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level II or higher

  • Working technical competency in one or more of the following supported platforms: Microsoft Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers, MS Hyper-V/VMWare/ESx/Xen Hypervisors, Enterprise networking/firewalls/intrusion detection/prevention systems, forensic analysis/vulnerability assessment, Group Policy management and configuration, Scripting, BMC Footprints, WSUS Lumension, Bitlocker, SQL Server 2012, TomCat, IIS, Windows Server 2012r2/2016, Win 10, Red Hat 6.5, Microsoft Office

  • Toolkits, SEIMs, Logrhythm, ACAS/Nessus/SCAP, mandatory/role-based access control concepts (e. g. SE Linux extensions to RHEL, PitBull, AppArmor, and Sentris) , video teleconferencing/VOIP, Oracle/MS SQL database security, and Apache/IIS Web server security

Security Clearance:

  • Active/Valid TS/SCI-eligible clearance (i.e. DCID 6/4 eligibility)

  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations."

  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
