  • Work closely with all business functions and senior management. Actively assist company in achieving business objectives.
  • Demonstrate strategic value and competence in applying legal skills to daily corporate, business, compliance and other matters.
  • Position would have significant responsibility for a diverse range of commercial, legal, and compliance matters, including high profile, complex matters

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assuring the availability, continuity and quality of competent, timely and cost efficient legal services. This position has an important role in providing legal advice in areas of significant company-wide impact.
  • Provide legal review, advice, and support on a broad range of legal matters including quality, regulatory, operations, strategic transactions, contracting, licensing, transactional, and general corporate matters across multiple business units in the Cell & Gene Division.
  • Provide comprehensive legal counsel to support contractual and commercial projects for business operations and initiatives.
  • Work closely with all business functions and senior management. Actively assist company in achieving business objectives.
  • Manage litigation and support dispute resolution.
  • Supervise outside counsel and related budgets, as needed.
  • Identify areas of company risk and make proposals for and lead implementation of mitigation strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • J.D Required
  • General commercial transactional / contracting experience at a major law firm and/or corporate in-house legal department.
  • In-house legal department experience preferred.
  • Life sciences, pharma, FDA compliance, and litigation experience are pluses.
  • Looking for 10+ years of experience
