Job Details:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled General Laborer to join our Telecommunications Construction team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a dynamic, exciting, and challenging work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of tasks in the construction, installation, and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
As a General Laborer in our Telecommunications Construction team, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the installation and maintenance of telecommunications equipment, including poles, wires, and fiber optic cables.
- Using various types of equipment and tools to carry out construction tasks.
- Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and standards.
- Working collaboratively with other team members to complete projects on time and to a high standard.
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and tools.
- Pulling wire and OSP fiber construction.
- Identifying and reporting any potential safety hazards or issues to the supervisor.
- Assisting with other general labor tasks as required.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need to have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proven experience with PPE, construction laborers, pulling wire, OSP Fiber Construction, and pole installation and maintenance.
- Excellent physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
- A strong understanding of safety regulations and standards in the construction industry.
- The ability to work well as part of a team and to follow instructions.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites.
