Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with Procedures and Emergency Support: Aid physicians in various cardiovascular procedures, including catheterization, angioplasty, and ultrasound, and assist with emergency measures to support patient well-being.
- Patient and Equipment Preparation: Set up sterile trays, organize equipment, and prepare patients with EKG attachment, scrubbing, and draping per protocol.
- Equipment Monitoring and Maintenance: Calibrate and operate diagnostic equipment, manage cine technology for imaging, and ensure equipment functionality, notifying staff of inventory needs.
- Patient-Centered and Safe Care: Deliver care tailored to patients' specific needs, adhere to infection control standards, and maintain physical demands of the role, in line with Medical Center competencies.
Job Requirements:
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or invasive procedure area within an acute care hospital.
- 6-12 months within a CVT accredited program or 2 years of experience in another cardiovascular lab setting.
Skills:
- Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring, sterile operative techniques, and familiarity with computer systems.
- Proficiency in electrophysiology intra-procedure mapping, ablation, and implant devices.
Certification:
- Required: Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or Radiologic Technologist (RT).
