The School District of Lee County is currently seeking an Assistant Director Maintenance Services to assist with coordinating and managing daily activities of the maintenance department comprised of all buildings, groups, and equipment ensuring the preservation, upkeep, and security of District assets.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, business management, or related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in building equipment/maintenance management, including electrical, air conditioning, roofing, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and grounds care.
- Three (3) years of management experience including planning, organizing, directing, staffing, and the development/management of large budgets.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assist with developing and implementing maintenance and plant operations policies and procedures.
- Assist with implementing Board policies and procedures related to departmental operations.
- Develop plans, priority assignments, and budgets and implement programs of the Maintenance Department.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems to identify and monitor trends and direct workflow.
- Model collaborative planning and shared decision-making.
- Design and conduct statistical analyses to formulate recommendations regarding resource and manpower allocations and trends.
- Assist with identifying maintenance projects of all facilities and prioritize/schedule timely completion of all final projects approved by the School Board.
- Create and maintain accurate records/reports in a timely manner and disseminate to the appropriate personnel.
- Estimate and present reports on materials and labor in relation to jobs that exceed minor routine maintenance, sites, and remodeling.
- Support training in technical areas for maintenance personnel.
- Work with staff to develop and conduct annual Building Supervisor training.
