In this role, you will:
Lead the Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Operations team, including the talent development for up to 6 full-time Kimberly-Clark resources and 1 - 2 co-op students. This position also manages several contractor resources in supporting WMS and distribution projects in the K-C North America network. The team focuses on leading Customer Logistics Distribution projects and related initiatives to improve supply chain systems, processes and flows to reduce costs. Provides operational support and project coordination to ensure the achievement of Distribution objectives. This role is currently focused on driving new standard processes, including automation, to improve productivity in high-volume CPG distribution centers across 20+ distribution sites within North America.
Essential Functions:
Recruit and manage a team of experienced supply chain professionals that will:
- Create and drive an overall systems strategy that delivers best-in-class distribution operations for both finished goods and materials.
- Continuously improve the distribution network through large-scale projects such as DC automation, and shipping office automation, leveraging the full benefit of technology to drive results.
- Support existing technology investments, including Blue Yonder WMS/LMS, SAP EWM, Dynamic Yard - Yard Management, and Direct Vendor Shipping processes.
- Leverage partnerships with 3PL suppliers, internal and external IT resources, and other internal Supply Chain partners to deliver on organizational goals.
- Help drive future state network for supporting ecommerce growth & automation.
- Identify and implement needed shifts in technology or talent to meet ever-changing needs of business objectives.
- Be a leader of change within the Logistics organization to identify and drive new strategies and process implementation.
- Act as a core member of the Logistics Leadership Team to help design and drive organizational strategies and talent building.
- Work with internal business and operational teams on broad end-to-end supply chain initiatives to yield continuous improvement.
Participate in operational network design projects from initial understanding and data collection phase through operational implementation of solution

- Bachelor's or technical degree or higher in supply chain, engineering, or related discipline and/or 5+ years prior distribution or supply chain systems experience
- Prior team leader experience preferred
- Prior WMS experience (Blue Yonder or SAP EWM) also preferred
- Prior project (management) experience or experience influencing without authority
- Ability to lead troubleshooting / problem solving to identify root causes and/or areas of continuous improvement - including utilizing lean principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially around complex topics
- Ability to work independently, but collaborate with leverage diverse, cross-functional resources to achieve results
- This role will support team members and projects that may require travel up to 50% to our North America distribution centers.
