Are you passionate about making a difference? Do you have a strong background in wastewater treatment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are currently seeking a Permanent Wastewater Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of wastewater treatment projects from conception to completion. You will be working on various projects, ranging from small-scale local initiatives to large-scale national projects, offering a diverse and challenging role.
Responsibilities:
As a Wastewater Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Leading the design and implementation of wastewater treatment projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative and effective wastewater treatment solutions.
3. Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments for potential projects.
4. Preparing technical reports and documentation, including design specifications, cost estimates, and project schedules.
5. Ensuring all projects comply with relevant environmental regulations and industry standards.
6. Supervising and mentoring junior engineers and technical staff.
7. Liaising with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and to resolve any issues that may arise.
8. Continuously monitoring and evaluating project progress, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Wastewater Project Engineer role will have:
1. A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field preferred and Construction knowledge is required.
2. A minimum of 1 year experience designing or constructing wastewater treatment projects in the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in wastewater treatment technologies and processes, including physical, chemical, and biological treatment methods.
4. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and liaise with a range of stakeholders.
7. Proficiency in relevant software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
8. A commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
