Responsibilities:

As an Associate Attorney, you will play a pivotal role in assisting clients with important legal matters. Key responsibilities include:

  • Meeting and communicating with clients to determine, advise, and solve complex legal issues in estate planning, elder law, adult guardianships, and estate and trust administration.
  • Drafting legal documents with careful attention to detail to address client needs.
  • Reviewing asset information and financial records to address holistic solutions to client problems.
  • Overseeing non-attorney staff assigned to assist with client matters with confidence and humility.
  • Effectively communicating with professional partners serving mutual clients.
  • Independently satisfying required deadlines to ensure timely filings with courts and agencies, and exceeding client expectations.
  • Building relationships with clients and their professional contacts with excellent communication and work product.
  • Complying with detailed work processes and procedures to ensure consistent services for every client.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced 2+ years of experience as an attorney in areas of estate planning, elder law, and/or estate and trust administration.

Background/Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Candidate must be licensed as a Delaware attorney.
  • Candidate must be licensed, or willing to become licensed, as a Maryland attorney.

Salary/Benefits: We value our team and offer competitive benefits, including health insurance reimbursement, bonus potential, paid holidays, time off, 401(K) plan, life insurance, and short-term disability. Starting compensation is $95,000, commensurate with experience.
