ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Physical Therapist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an office setting. They will work closely with patients of all ages to improve their mobility, relieve pain, and enhance their overall quality of life. The successful candidate will have a strong background in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. They will also possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluate patients' medical history and perform physical examinations to determine their condition and needs
Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' goals, medical history, and physical abilities
Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to improve patients' mobility, strength, and function
Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for at-home exercises and self-care
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in physical therapy techniques and treatments
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
In-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
Ability to assess patients' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
Proficiency in using therapeutic equipment and modalities
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details
The ability to work in either our Amityville or Plainview location as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $45.00 per hour
