Are you a skilled, imaginative, and well-organized Videographer? Join our Digital Communications team at Youth Villages based in Memphis, TN We are looking for a dynamic individual to enhance our visual storytelling. In this role, you will be tasked with capturing and producing exceptional videos and photos that vividly tell our story through event wrap-ups, on-campus activities, and the heartfelt stories from our programs. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  • Capture and produce high-quality videos that align with the Youth Villages branding guidelines and objectives.
  • Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to understand their photography and videography needs.
  • Coordinate on-site photo and video sessions highlighting our facilities, classrooms, and relevant spaces. Additionally, provide extensive visual coverage of various events, including but not limited to training sessions, sports events, campus activities, recruitment campaigns, interviews, and event summaries.
  • Utilize stock images, raw footage, static and motion graphics, screen captures, lower thirds, licensed music, voiceover, and sound effects to create unique and engaging videos.
  • Create compelling visual content that tells engaging stories about our programs, recruiting focus, and campus initiatives.
  • Edit and retouch photos, ensuring they meet professional standards and are ready for publication in various mediums, including print, web, and social media.
  • Produce impactful promotional videos, documentaries, and event recaps, edit and assemble video footage, incorporating music, sound effects, animations, and graphics.
  • Manage and organize a digital media library, ensuring all assets are appropriately labeled, categorized, and accessible to internal staff.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and techniques in photography and videography, incorporating innovative approaches to enhance our visual presence.
  • Collaborate with our social media team to provide visually captivating content for social media platforms, contributing to our brand's online presence growth.
  • Maintain and upkeep photography and videography equipment, ensuring they are in optimal condition and always ready for use.
  • Adhere to copyright laws, obtain necessary permissions, and ensure all media content is appropriately credited when required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Other Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of seven years’ experience in video field production.
  • Proficient in using professional-grade cameras, video equipment, and editing software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom) or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and color theory, with the ability to adapt to different shooting conditions.
  • Excellent video editing skills, with attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff, youth, and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of copyright laws and licensing requirements for photography and videography.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular office hours, including evenings and weekends, to cover events when necessary.
  • Proven experience as a photographer and videographer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency and a creative eye.
  • Ability to travel out of state when needed.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
