Requisition ID: 159403Position SummaryPlan, lay-out, install, test and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment and control systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.Experience LevelSkilledPrimary Responsibilities and DutiesInterprets drawings, sketches, software, plans and determines best work procedures, tools, equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problemsMeasures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; make terminationsInstalls control and distribution apparatus and fastens in placeTest and start up systems and continuity of circuit to insure electrical compatibility and safety of componentsObserves functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacementMay be required to pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipmentWork with high and low voltage systemsDisassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systemsOperate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical toolsEstimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.QualificationsMust possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position.Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement toolsRequirementsThe person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site,Texas State License or a License that Reciprocates with Texasso should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoorweather conditionsWork irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as requiredMay be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to accessrequired equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb andmaintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffoldsMove and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfacesMust be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environmentMay be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds acrossconstruction/industrial siteValid US Driver License requiredObserve and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as requiredAbility to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing and fit for duty medicalWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
