Leading financial services firm looking for a seasoned Accounting Manager to oversee and strengthen core accounting and financial processes within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. The successful candidate will bring 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with experience in financial services, trading, fintech, or another complex financial environment strongly preferred.

This position will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting timely reporting, strengthening internal controls, and improving the efficiency of accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, strong analytical capabilities, and advanced proficiency with Excel and enterprise accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and financial operations while maintaining compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulations, internal controls, and established procedures.
- Partner with teams across the organization to support transaction-related financial activities, including settlements, clearing processes, reconciliations, and related operational workflows.
- Prepare, review, and approve journal entries and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Analyze financial results and investigate significant fluctuations across revenue, expenses, and other key accounts, providing meaningful explanations and insights to management.
- Prepare recurring financial reporting and management packages on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Support the preparation and review of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and statements of cash flows.
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors, coordinating requests and assisting with financial and operational audit activities.
- Establish, document, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve consistency, scalability, and operational effectiveness.
- Work collaboratively with technology, engineering, and other operational teams to identify opportunities for automation and improve the reliability of financial processes.

- Monitor developments affecting the financial services and electronic trading industries, including relevant accounting, regulatory, and technology changes.
